6-Month Contract
In March 2024, I accepted a 6-month contract role at Shipt as an SEO Content Specialist.
During my time at Shipt, I had the opportunity to craft content that was not only engaging but also strategically tailored to meet SEO goals. I worked on multiple sections of the Shipt website, including localized "Same-Day Delivery" and "Local Stores, Delivered to Your Door" copy for cities across the U.S. My focus was on capturing the unique culture and shopping preferences of each market while ensuring the content was optimized for search engines.
My goal was to create copy that was informative, engaging, and search-friendly, all while maintaining Shipt’s commitment to delivering fresh, reliable products. Each piece I developed supported Shipt’s expansion into new markets, helping customers find what they need with ease while improving the brand's visibility online.
City Copy
During my work with Shipt, I had the unique challenge of creating localized copy for cities across the U.S. I crafted engaging, city-specific content for sections like "Same-Day Delivery" and "Local Stores, Delivered to Your Door." Each city has its own flavor, so I tailored the copy to reflect local culture, popular food items, and shopping preferences. Whether it was highlighting New York bagels or Memphis barbecue, I focused on making each city's content feel personal and relevant, while maintaining Shipt’s brand voice. This work allowed me to demonstrate my ability to connect with diverse audiences while keeping the message clear and consistent across regions.
Service-Focused Copy
In addition to city-specific work, I also contributed to service-driven copy that emphasized Shipt’s core offerings such as their commitment to exceptional service, fresh produce, and trustworthy shoppers. My writing reinforced the brand’s promise of delivering high-quality products with a focus on convenience, helping customers understand what made Shipt stand out from the competition. This section allowed me to bring Shipt’s brand values to life in a way that resonated with both new and returning customers.
