Dan Berget

My name is Dan Berget and I am a Copywriter in Sacramento, California. I have a lifelong passion for writing and communication and truly find joy in thinking about grammar, syntax, and word choice.

After graduating from CSU, Sacramento with a Bachelor's degree in English in 2018, I started my career at YDesign Group, writing thousands of product descriptions over a two year period.

In December 2021 I was promoted to the marketing team as the company rebranded as Lumens, where I developed and executed new content strategies and wrote the following: articles for a WordPress instance, designer biographies, daily email copy, top level and faceted category copy, and title and meta tags — all using an SEO lens while adhering to Google's guidelines.

In 2024, I accepted a contract position at Dollar General as a Content and Product Copywriter where I write SEO top level and faceted category copy and contribute to the design of DG's webpages by writing site copy including headlines and descriptions.

I am a voracious reader, enjoying everything from murder mysteries and character dramas to lengthy fantasy series and difficult, experimental post-modern novels.

I am a weekly pub trivia player and all-around pop culture enthusiast, amateur video editor, and avid film fan, seeing 60+ movies in theaters each year.

You can find me at waterfalls or on top of mountains on weekly hikes.

I am also the Dungeon Master for a 3+ year long, ongoing Dungeons and Dragons campaign with hundreds of pages of written lore and world-building that is concurrently in development as a series of novels.
