January 2024-Present

Ongoing Contract

In January 2024, I accepted a contract role at Dollar General.

As a Content and Product Copywriter at Dollar General, I craft engaging and keyword-optimized content across a variety of product categories and seasonal promotions. My work involves writing compelling copy that enhances the user experience while driving organic search traffic. From developing comprehensive category descriptions and FAQs to creating snappy headlines and promotional content for high-traffic pages, I ensure that every piece of content aligns with Dollar General's brand voice and SEO best practices. My contributions directly support the company's digital marketing strategy by improving search engine rankings, increasing customer engagement, and boosting sales across the e-commerce platform.

Web Copy

I also created a variety of concise and impactful web copy for Dollar General’s homepage and category pages. This included on-graphic text, section headers, and short descriptions designed to grab attention and guide customers through their shopping journey. Whether it was a catchy headline for a promotional graphic, brief introductory text for a new seasonal section, or punchy CTAs, each piece was carefully written to align with the brand’s messaging while driving engagement and conversions. My work on these elements contributed to a cohesive and user-friendly web experience that effectively highlighted key products, deals, and seasonal themes.

Category Copy

At DG, I wrote top-level and faceted category copy for the website. Each copy had one header, two paragraphs, and a following FAQ with four questions and answers each. The copy required keyword research through Conductor to achieve optimal SEO organic rankings on Google SERPs.

My approach not only enhanced the website's SEO but also contributed to a more streamlined and informative shopping experience for Dollar General's customers.
